Alexandra Carrel brings over twenty years of legal expertise to EspeRare, having built a distinguished career at leading international law firms. She is the former General Counsel and Secretary General of Inserm Transfert, the technology transfer subsidiary of INSERM. In 2014, Alexandra founded Cabinet CARREL, now MCE CARREL, with offices in Paris and Lyon. She also serves as a partner at MCE LEGAL in Switzerland, and sits on the board of KETOSWISS in Basel.

Specializing in technology transfer and the protection and development of innovative products—including drugs, medical devices, digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and green energy technologies—Alexandra excels in navigating the complexities of French, Swiss, and American law. Her adeptness at handling international operations and strategic alliances makes her an invaluable asset to EspeRare's mission.

Alexandra’s role as outside legal counsel for EspeRare involves providing strategic legal advice on intellectual property, overseeing partnership agreements, and delivering expert guidance on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management. Thus, safeguarding the legal integrity of EspeRare’s operations, protecting its interests in collaborative ventures and strategic partnerships.
