Caroline Kant

Caroline Kant is a founder of the EspeRare Foundation and the Executive Director of the Head Office. She manages the daily operations, as a board member she develops and implements the Foundation’s strategic plans in concert with the Board and the R&D Director.

She brings broad know-how and international expertise in translational research, public-private partnerships, and product development within the pharmaceutical and information technology industries. Before founding EspeRare, Caroline was a director in charge of a R&D department within a large pharmaceutical company. Prior to that, in the United States, she helped launch 3C Interactive, a software Silicon Valley company.

Caroline holds degrees in molecular neurobiology and product development. Caroline became an ASHOKA fellow in 2014 and was appointed CFE Swiss women entrepreneur of the year in 2015

By establishing the EspeRare Foundation, Caroline realizes her dream of dedicating herself to address rare diseases in honor of her daughter, and for all children suffering with orphan diseases.
