Caroline Kant
co-founded EspeRare in 2013 after helping build a Silicon Valley IT start-up and and a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry.
A former Vice-Chair of Geneva University Hospitals and alumna of the Swiss Board School, she is recognised for pioneering patient-centred, tech-enabled drug-development paths.
Driven by her dedication to all children with rare diseases, Caroline is leading EspeRare’s strategic development and program portfolio, advises NGOs on venture philanthropy and social entrepreneurship, and has been honoured as an award-winning entrepreneur and ASHOKA Fellow. Educated in Switzerland and the United States, she holds degrees in neurobiology and product development.
By establishing the EspeRare Foundation, Caroline realizes her dream of dedicating herself to address rare diseases in honor of her daughter, and for all children suffering with orphan diseases.
